Get Rid of
Unwanted Hair

Produced by Lin Stone

Seems like there are two kinds of people on earth:  Those who lose more hair than
they want to, and those who wish they could get rid of some of it from specific
areas of their body.

Then again I guess everybody has a spot or two of hair they wish wasn't there. Maybe it is a moustache where none ought to be, or a series of hair around a mole, or a mat under the armpits, whatever.

Can anything be done about it? Well, my friend Billy Cordova burns the hair on his chest off with a lighter. It does pretty good, but by the time you can stand to be around him again, the hair is back, thicker than ever.

Then there is the waxing process which is almost as painful, and of course, electrolysis. You've probably heard about those, so I won't go into them. Instead, I want to introduce you to a relatively new process of expediting permanent hair loss in specific areas.

There is a laser technology out called The LightSheer. Unlike electrolysis, which only kills one hair follicle at a time, the laser reaches and treats hundreds at a time.

The laser is pulsed, or "turned on," for only a fraction of a second and the duration of each pulse is just long enough to disable the hair follicles. A unique component of the LightSheer system, the actively cooled sapphire hand piece, was designed to protect the skin by actively cooling it before, during and after the laser light is transmitted. It also actively draws off heat from the skin surface, which protects the skin from further injury.

Here's how it works: This laser can be used to target the color pigmentation
located in the hair follicle itself and inside the growth shaft.  The light is
absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle and this energy is converted to
heat which disrupts molecules inside the hair follicle. Consequently there is a
significant delay of re-growth of the hair, and in most cases many of the hair
follicles are in fact, permanently disabled.

Interestingly enough, not all the hair on your body is actively growing at the
same time. Hair actually goes through three distinct phases: growth,
regression, and resting.

The LightSheer works by disabling any hair in the target area that is principally
in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter
this active growth phase at different times, additional treatments may be necessary
to disable all the hair follicles in a given area.

Subsequent treatments are usually given at intervals of 8-12 weeks, depending on
the particular area of the body being treated and the density of the hair in that area.
However, one treatment may work so well that it will be all you really desire or require.

A long-term clinical study was done to evaluate the LightSheer Diode Laser for hair
removal. Of 92 patients, all had temporary hair loss and 89% had long-term hair loss
in the target area. Also, even the hairs which were in the process of growing back in
were shown to be thinner and lighter than previously.

The LightSheer laser was specifically designed for hair removal. It safely treats a much
broader range of skin tones including patients with darker complexions than other lasers
do. The LightSheer system was developed from years of research at the Wellman
Laboratories of Photomedicine, one of the world's leading medical laser research institutions.

Advanced Laser Clinics has offices located throughout the US which use the LightSheer
laser.   Click HERE and you will discover there is a lot more information to be had on this
subject from the company itself.
