Academy Life Insurance Company Advanced Insurance Group of America Nationally available group health insurance and medical employee benefit plans including Managed Care, PPO, Point of Service, and Indemnity. |
Americans spent $5,267 per person
for health care in 2002. That's 53 percent more than any other country in the world. WHY
aren't we the healthiest people on earth?
Some calculations show more than 300,000 patients
annually pick up infections simply by being in the germ-ridden
hospital environment. |
According
to a study by the Center For Immigration Studies,
illegal aliens
increased the annual Federal cost of health care
in the United
States by $2.5 BILLION! Comparable costs
are experienced
every year by State, County and City governments.
This is
ONLY their cost to the health care industry. Similar
impacts
to other government services (not to mention our prisons) are a
fact of life.

Another SlantPeople look at health insurance and dental insurance rather strangely. “I need dental insurance because some of my fillings are cracked and I don’t have the money to see a dentist.” and “I keep feeling this strange conviction that there is something bad going wrong with my health. I guess I’d better get some health insurance.” They expect to get back every penny they put in, and them be insured for the big stuff too. Is it therefore any wonder that it takes longer to fill out the applications? On top of that the coverage terms in the contract are becoming as cleverly written as a contest advertisement. *** It isn't enough to have a sweet smile and a nice bedside manner, your doctor should be competent too. Competent observers say that doctors and nurses that don't know they are being watched seldom wash their hands between patients. If they aren't even doing that much, what else aren't they doing? HOWEVER, As an observant patient, I have decided the probable cause behind picking up infections in the hospital is THE PATIENTS are not doing their part. Bedfast patients are especially vulnerable to giving in to not washing their hands after using the urinal. Most of them I watched do not wash their hands before eating. A lot of this is because the supplies needed for personal hygiene are not provided. Cleanliness is just flat inconvenient in these circumstances. But, ASK and thou shalt receive! |

Not only do different insurance policies cover different procedures in different ways with different amounts of coverage, there are also those exculpatory clauses designed to protect the insurance company from excessive zeal. So! What can you do when your health insurance claim is denied? *** Wouldn't you love to feel super healthy? Some people fight their battles with guns and tanks, others use spoons and kitchen utensils. The Ultimate health Library is your best shot if you want your body to be bursting with vitality -- with every cell fed with nutrient-rich food. *** Alert: If you know anyone double billing their insurance company, better let them know that it is time to stop. Programmers are cracking down hard on that group next. Millions and millions of dollars were paid out last year on double billing from pharmacists who were then caught by the new insurance auditing programs. Then this year those programmers are being turned loose on doctors and patients who are double billing the insurance company. Those two programs remain in effect with the originating company, and are being sold to other companies with similar problems, Now programs are being written and tested to spot people who go to more than one doctor for the same problem to get up to five prescriptions for the same medicine. And, a word to the wise, these programs are reaching back, back five or more years! Click HERE to save money on all your medical needs without buying insurance. While the Latter-day Saint parents are alarmed at how high their own youth rate of incidence has climbed for these behaviors, the rest of the parents in the United States can look at some of the things the Saints are doing right for ideas on how to protect their own children.
These are my personal
observations
and are not official doctrine from
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Make sure your children are making friends with other kids who have high moral standards. It doesn't matter so much what religion or lack of religion those friends have allegiance to; it definitely matters how high their standards are.
Take time to share good spiritual relations with your children. Read Scriptures together, pray together, go to Church with them, invite your minister or religious leader over to visit with you and your children.
Be a good example of what you want your children to be like.
In your home, show love for and respect to your spouse.
Express your love for your children frequently.
Hold Scripture study games with your family on a weekly basis. Read books recommended by your minister with your children. If your Church offers youth programs or magazines for your children, study these with your children.
Help your kids practice for their sports activities or with homework assignments.
Show your support for your children by attending their school functions and Church activities, their games.
Develop family traditions, especially for religious holidays.
Working with your children's input, develop rules and enforce them with set consequences. Punishing them for something they "should have known," is not a good way to play.
Rebuke gently, praise often, and forgive generously.
Watch for changes in the personalities of your children. If your child usually comes home and tells you all the fun they had, then suddenly stops, chances are something has happened. Look for subtle changes too, bitterness toward other family members, self-isolation, staying in their room longer than usual, starting a new habit, like chewing gum, avoiding eye contact -- the key word here is change. When their habits change, their personalities soon will follow suit.
Last piece of advice, Don't monitor your children's behavior, SHARE their lives.
